Seton Hall’s School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) has introduced an innovative nine-day Pre-College Health Professions Immersion program designed to engage high school students in various healthcare fields. This immersive experience offers participants hands-on training and insights into five distinct areas of healthcare, including nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and more.
Throughout the program, students will not only gain practical skills but also develop a deeper understanding of the healthcare profession. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, simulations, and real-world scenarios that mirror the challenges and demands of working in health-related careers. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals by providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in their future endeavors.
By fostering an early interest in health professions, Seton Hall’s program seeks to equip students with essential skills and a strong foundation for their academic and career journeys. This initiative underscores the importance of early exposure to healthcare careers, ultimately contributing to a more informed and prepared workforce in the healthcare sector.
