Older adults in Michigan now have the opportunity to participate in a variety of free health workshops designed to enhance their well-being. MSU Extension is offering engaging programs that focus on essential topics such as sleep improvement, tai chi, mindfulness practices, and the PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) initiative.
These workshops aim to empower seniors by providing them with valuable tools to prevent disease and effectively manage chronic conditions. Participants will learn techniques to improve their sleep quality, engage in gentle physical activity through tai chi, and explore mindfulness strategies that promote mental health and emotional resilience.
The PATH program specifically targets chronic disease management, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to take charge of their health. These resources are not only beneficial for physical health but also foster social connections and a sense of community among participants. With these offerings, MSU Extension is committed to supporting the health and wellness of older adults throughout Michigan.
