The Allegheny County Health Department has moved its Sexual Health Clinic to a new home in Downtown Pittsburgh. The relocation, announced Monday, is part of a broader effort to consolidate several public health services under one roof. Officials say the new site is designed to make it simpler for patients to access a range of care in a single visit.
The clinic now offers sexual health services alongside immunizations, pulmonary care, and the public health pharmacy. By bringing these resources together, the department hopes to reduce the number of trips patients need to make for different types of care. The move also places the clinic in a more central location, which is expected to improve access for people who rely on public transportation.
The previous location had been in use for years, but the department determined that a downtown site would better serve the community's needs. The new facility includes updated exam rooms and private consultation spaces. Health officials emphasized that all existing services will continue without interruption, and the clinic is now open for walk-ins and scheduled appointments at the new address.
