CASPER, Wyo. - The Casper-Natrona County Health Department conducted its routine inspections of local food establishments during the final week of June. Inspectors visited restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food units, and commissaries to check for compliance with health and safety standards.
During this period, several establishments received passing scores after addressing minor violations on site. Common issues included improper food storage temperatures and inadequate handwashing facilities. One local diner was cited for a lack of proper sanitizer concentration in its dishwashing station, though the problem was corrected before the inspector left the premises.
A convenience store received a follow-up inspection after a previous violation involving expired dairy products. The follow-up found the store had cleared its outdated stock and updated its rotation logs. No major closures or critical violations were reported for the week.
The health department reminds the public that full inspection reports are available for review at their office. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns about food safety directly to the department. The next round of inspections is scheduled for mid-July.
