On Thursday, May 1, Aldine ISD’s Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department concluded its Family and Community University (FCUniversity) for the 2024-25 school year with a vibrant celebration that highlighted the importance of health and community engagement.
The event, titled Cooking Up Good Health, showcased a variety of culinary delights while emphasizing the significance of healthy eating habits. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about nutrition and cooking techniques that promote well-being, fostering a sense of community through shared experiences in the kitchen.
Parents, students, and community members participated in interactive cooking demonstrations led by local chefs and nutritionists. These sessions not only provided valuable information but also encouraged participants to explore new recipes and ingredients that can enhance their family's health.
The celebration served as a reminder of the vital role that community engagement plays in promoting a healthier lifestyle, bringing families together to learn and grow in a supportive environment. As the school year wraps up, the FACE Department looks forward to continuing these initiatives in the future, further strengthening the bond between the school and the community.
